Possibly loco 4553 with Bodmin Branch No 2 set, diagram E140, Nos 6977 + 6978. Mid 1930s, with the coaches in their GWR livery. GWR trains were regularly running into Wadebridge a long time before the WR assumed responsibility for the line in 1950. So the picture is before 1949 (this pair of coaches were repainted in 1947 livery with double waist lining and a deep cantrail stripe), and probably late 1930s. (I say late because there is a white loco lamp, which didn't start to appear until 1936) and the train has come from Bodmin General.
