Ex-LMS Stanier 'Black 5' class 4-6-0 No. 45095. Built by Vulcan Foundry in April 1935 as LMS No. 5095 and withdrawn in August 1968.

Scenes like this in April 1968 were becoming a rarity with the end of steam less than four months away. Visits to Carnforth by bus from my grandparents house at Morecambe were a memorable experiences because the shed and adjacent rail routes guaranteed some steam action. 45095 is in charge of a tanker train for Barrow-in-Furness.
