Ex-LMS Stanier 'Black 5' class 4-6-0 No. 44836. Built at Crewe in September 1944 as LMS No. 4836 and withdrawn in May 1968. Climbing out of Bury and passing Heap Bridge Junction Box, 44836 is on the metals of what is now the preserved East Lancahire Railway. It is seen heading for Heywood and beyond in May 1966.
