44996 1960s Tulloch

44996 1960s Tulloch

With 44977 leading the double header.

Alistair Moffat says "Doubt that this is Crianlarich as the neg originally said as that station has an island platform. It is Tulloch as the water tank is in the right place and also the design with a short tank, the brick base still survives. and the southbound curve is to the right heading out to the bank above Loch Treig on the climb to Gorton and Rannoch. The LNER home signal and the platelayers hut was a common one on the LNER West Highland section. I remember standing there talking to Alec Macdonald from Morar when he was driving a summer evening sleeper south around the mid 2000s with a 37/4".
