West Highland Railway, Fort William to Glasgow service.
In the distance is the water tank on the westbound Fort William end of the platform which was a later addition to the station facilities from the post grouping or WW2 period. It is on a rugged wooden base rather than WHR/NBR fine brickwork as is the other water tank obscured from view behind the black five. Tulloch is a remote outpost even by West Highland standards but in the thirties it was of strategic importance needing two tanks.
