Departing from Glasgow Buchanan Street on 29 September 1960, 44705 clearly has a welded tender although one of these was not paired with it until May 1963 according to its Record Card. It had a central top feed boiler from March 1952 but reverted to a forward top feed in August 1963. Having followed 44704 from Carstairs in 1948 they both stayed at Perth until withdrawn together in w/e 2 September 1966.
