Very unusual angle taken at 5D, the photographer was standing on the line which ran down to the old Stoke Works. NSR breakdown train is visible in its special shed, roundhouse in background. The reason for the shot was probably the then new Black Five. The railings it and the LNWR Cauliflower are standing behind have mostly found their way down the bank!
