Many are the hours I spent here in my childhood. This is an October 1965 scene at Dringhouses at York. St. Helen's Road bridge is behind southbound 'Black 5' 44695 with Dringhouses freight yard beyond that where another train is seen ready to depart. My Grandparents house was adjacent to the playing fields on the right. I had seen every ECML Pacific by the time I was fifteen, even those 'rare' ones going to (or returning from) Doncaster 'Plant'. That's my 'bragging rights'!!!
