To avoid confusion St Rollox shed is often called Balornock shed which it was often called in LMS days, but we "youngsters" always knew it as St Rollox. In many photos of the shed there are tenements in the background, this area or "scheme" as it is called in Scotland is known as Balornock. St Rollox station and the Caley works next to it was a mile or so away from the shed in Springburn towards Buchanan Street station
