‘Class 5’ 4-6-0 No.45003 piloting a ‘Royal Scot’ on a southbound express in 1959. They are passing Lichfield Trent Valley No.1 signalbox which was situated between the Up and Down main lines. Apparently it used to shake rather a lot as trains passed either side.
