‘Class 5’ No.44852 in 1963 after descending the incline looking towards Bromsgrove station with the Bromsgrove South signalbox to the right of the train. It was at Saltley from July 1951 but then moved to Leeds Holbeck in November 1953 and never returned. Note the line from the right into the siding from the Down Fast which enabled returning bankers to cross over and move out of the way of the Up Goods (the line next to the ‘Panniers’).
