44726 1956-02-25 near Trent

Snow plough fitted Black Five No 44726 from Carlisle Kingmoor shed heads an up coal train near Trent on 25th February 1956.

It’s coming off the Derby line and presumably heading for Toton. It must have originated at Chaddesden as anywhere further north (eg Rowsley) would have led it to take the Ambergate-Pye Bridge line to access Toton. So what was it doing in Derby and what did Toton do with it? I guess we’ll never know.
