The date is almost certainly Saturday, 24/10/64. This was the day of A4 60009 on the 'Jubilee Requiem' and several photographs of the two A1s exist. The second A1 is 60158 and they had been despatched L/E from Gateshead to York in the afternoon. Previously that day, Brian Stephenson had photographed 60121 on a down 'class C' freight at Durham.
