In April 1955 and in company with ex-LNER Thompson 'B1' 4-6-0 No. 61016 'Inyala', BR Peppercorn 'A1' 4-6-2 'Balmoral' basks in the spring sunshine. It was built at Darlington in Dec. 1948 and was withdrawn in Jan. 1965. 'Inyala' was also built at Darlington in Dec. 1948 and outlived 'Balmoral', being withdrawn in Oct. 1965.
