GWR County class 4-4-0 No 3832 County of Wilts at Old Oak Common shed in c1921.
Peter Kerslake says "The County 4-4-0s were known by the enginemen of the day as "Churchward's Rough Riders" because of their poor riding characteristics. The squared main frame drop ends with the exposed valve head covers show up well in this view. The final batch of ten 3821-3830 were constructed with curved drop ends and concealed valve heads, emerging from Swindon in 1911. County of Wilts was built in June 1904 and was withdrawn from Oxford in May 1930."
