I have to confess that I wasn't a strong Southern region enthusiast in my younger years , but I have made a visit to Plymouth's Friary shed on this date which would have been in 1952 or thereabouts and it may well have been that the presence of this "T9 " 30715 was the reason for my visit. Engines of this class were not frequent visitors to the Southern outpost at Friary and 30715 has a " Special " white route destination disc evident on her buffer beam , so something out of the ordinary was going on !
