Pioneer II is seen stored in the open at Sittingbourne on 28th March 1969. This ex-SECR ‘P’ had been bought in 1958 from BR as No 31178. It was sold to the Blubell Railway later in 1969 where it still exists as no 178. (The original ‘Pioneer’was a standard gauge Manning Wardle 0-4-0T no 942/1885 acquired in 1943 and scrapped in 1954.)
