The end of the road for this B16/1 in September 1959. No 61430 of York occupies the deadline at Darlington shed. Here, engines awaiting works entry were temporarily stabled but for No 61430 it was the North Road Scrapyard rather than the works which beckoned. Built 1921; w/d October 1959.
