D5140 1967-04 Dyserth
David Long adds the details "The photos show the usual mixture of 'Tips' and 'Mins'. The tipplers were loaded with limestone at the tipping dock and the minerals with lime 'round the corner' at the limeworks.
By the way, D5140 was one of the small batch sent new to Longsight in 1960 before spending a few months at Bletchley and the London Division in 1966. In the October it was part of the general move of Class 24s to the Stoke Division to help effect the dieselisation of North and Mid-Wales. It stayed there until scrapped in 1976".
