The Sulzer has been rescued by the B1 and is passing Darlington South signal box, commisioned in 1939 as part of the York to Darlington re-signalling using three aspect colour light signals controlled by mainly new manual signal boxes such as this one which came into use on 6th May 1939 and had a new Westinghouse 'L frame' off 155 minature levers.
