One of a few fitted with additional pipework for working the Consett Iron ore trains. As this equipment is very clean I wondered wether it is newly fitted at Gateshead but the loco was fitted with additional pipework and air compressors at Crewe Works after having boiler and water tanks removed. For the record D5102/3 were modified at Crewe Works.D5101/4/5/6 were modified at Derby Works.
