61908 1950s Spalding Town

61908 1950s Spalding Town

Great Northern Railway designed Gresley 'K3' class 2-6-0 No. 61908. Built by Armstrong Whitworth & Co. of Newcastle in April 1931 as LNER No. 1125 and withdrawn in January 1962.

This undated 1950s view at Spalding Town Station in Lincolnshire sees 61903 on a '558' coded passenger train special. What the significance might be of the flags displayed will possibly remain a mystery!
