L&NER ‘K3’ 2-6-0 No. 61922, a long-term resident of Hull Dairycoates shed, at Kirkham with a Wakefield-Blackpool excursion on Sunday 21st May 1961. Apart from the second vehicle which is a L&NER Thompson steel clad vehicle and a BR Mark 1 next towards the rear, the train is made up of Gresley ex-L&NER teak bodied coaches. The ‘K3’ would be condemned early in May the following year, still allocated to Dairycoates.
