9676 1931c believed Derby Shed

S&DJR 7F 2-8-0 No 9676 with 4227's tender possably on shed at Derby in c1931, the coaling stage was later to be replaced by a more modern tower.
The front end at least looks ex-works and we have the curiosity of a replacement tender complete with the number of it’s former partner.

These locos only went to Derby for works attention so could be that location. However this one carried number 9676 between 1930 & 1932 and was allocated to (17) Toton, coupled to the tender off 4227 because it had been fitted with water scoop to enable it to work extended trials on Toton - Willesden coal trains.
