53804 1960-09-11 Bath Green Park

S&DJR 2-8-0 No 53804 waits to leave Bath Green Park with an SLS special for Bournemouth on September 11, 1960.

Peter Kerslake says "Destined for Bournemouth by way of the Somerset and Dorset line across the Mendips and recorded by renowned Welsh cameraman Robert Tuck 53804 is at Bath Green Park on the 11th. September, 1960, nicely turned out by the cleaners for its enthusiasts' special working.
The splendour of Bath Green Park station is clear to see here with its two platforms, the shorter of which could hold eight coaches and an engine whilst the longer one had space for nine".
