Ex-LNWR ‘G2’ 0-8-0 No.48964 was a Bescot engine from May 1951 until withdrawn in April 1962. The old Bescot station and footbridge are just visible to the left. Note the wartime white painted lamp on the right and the 'G2' is still fitted with the early pattern three piece coupling rods, a very late use of these.
