Peter Kerslake says "A nice image of D1015 "Western Champion" on platform seven here at Plymouth North Road and with no one in the cab it's clear that she's running light engine away from the camera and out to Laira depot having worked a secondary duty from "up the line" just as far as here at North Road. One of the thirty built at Swindon D1015 was one of seven which survived into preservation following her withdrawal from service in December of 1976."
