D1030 Western Musketeer seen at Bristol Bath Road on 7 August 1967 was one of only seven 'Westerns' to have blue livery with small warning panels. It was the first painted blue in August 1966 and it kept this variant until April 1970. The double arrow emblem is smaller than standard and had been hand-painted at Swindon, presumably before stocks of transfers arrived.
