SMR 3 1910s Llanberis

Snowdon Mountain Railway 800mm gauge 0-4-2 Tank No. 3 'Wyddfa'. Built by Swiss Loco & Machine Works of Winterthur in 1895 and still in operation.

This is a very early view taken circa 1910, of Llanberis Station the lower terminus of the Snowdon Mountain Railway. The locomotive 'Wyddfa' was delivered to Llanberis on 7 December 1895 and is still in service in 2021. 'Wyddfa' or more accurately 'Yr Wyddfa' is the Welsh name for Snowdon.
