BR Standard 2MT 2-6-2T No.84005 at Hitchin on 30th December 1961, the last day of passenger services on the ex-Midland Railway branch line to Bedford. It had worked the service during the final month of operation deputising for DMUs which had been taken out of service for rectification work. The same two auto coaches were used throughout the month, Nos.M15863M and M24319M.
