L&YR 4-6-0s laid up after helping out in the war effort. 10412 was withdrawn in February and 10432 behind in March 1949. Both have their bogie wheels marked up as if they are to be stripped for an overhaul but this was not to be. Only 10455 survived to receive its BR number.
