LNWR Claughton 4-6-0 No 6001, cut down to the Midland loading gauge and coupled with an ex-ROD tender, has just passed Hendon with the 3.30pm St.Pancras to Leeds express in c1931. The engine crew and spectators on the embankment side are watching an air display at the RAF Hendon aeredrome.
