46401 1963-04 Stafford

46401 1963-04 Stafford

With its 89D Oswestry shed plate, 46401 was only one of two in the 464xx series to be allocated to the Cambrian Division, the other being 46446.
This is the south end of Stafford. On the right you can see the Newport Rd bridge which is right on the end of the station and on the left you can see the end of the houses in Brunswick Terrace and the down side yard. What an Oswestry engine is doing at Stafford unless it's escaped from Shrewsbury via the Shropshire Union I don't know, maybe Crewe have 'borrowed' it?
