62425 1950s Hawick shed

Ellangowan is a locality (pop 121) in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland Australia, but that was not known to Sir Walter Scott when he wrote ‘Guy Mannering’ and named a fictitious Scottish location, Ellangowan. Ex-NBR ‘Scott’ No 62425 bore this name from delivery in 1914 to withdrawal in August 1958. It was at Hawick in the late 1950s.
