Ex-LMS Hughes/Fowler 'Crab' class 2-6-0 No. 42777. Built at Crewe in September 1927 as LMS No. 13077 and withdrawn in August 1965.

At the helm of an up fish train, possibly from Fleetwood, 42777 makes a fine sight in 1963 as she passes the site of the 1838-built Farington Station, just south of Preston. The station had closed in March 1960.
