Ex-LMS Hughes/Fowler 'Crab' class 2-6-0 No. 42926. Built at Crewe in May 1931 as LMS No. 13226 and withdrawn in Oct. 1964. The neat little 3-road, closed-end MPD at Uttoxeter in Staffordshire was a former North Staffordshire Railway establishment. The NSR era has long passed in September 1962 as 42956 rests alongside a couple of ex-LMS Stanier '4P' 2-6-4 Tanks including No. 42454. It's a perfect modeller's project don't you think?
