Immaculate at Horwich Works in the final BR lined black livery, 42816 after either a HI repair completed in February or a HG completed in September 1959. The absence of a shed plate doesn’t help with the date, with 42816 shedded at Saltley from July 1956 until November 1959 when it went to Gorton. It has a coal railed flush riveted tender, stirrup footsteps and single air relief valves.
