42857 1950s Scarborough

Homeward bound holiday train passing Scarborough straight shed.
The shed was partially demolished in the late 50’s, but the wall adjacent to the main line remained until around 1966 as it supported the Gas Works signal bridge. A rare picture of a Crab double heading a B1, and a ‘namer’ at that. 42857 with 61250 A.HAROLD BIBBY In the mid-1950s. The Crab was at Saltley from 1947 until June 1961, except for a month on loan to Kettering in 1952.
