The fascinating mixed L&YR and MR lineage of the George Hughes/Henry Fowler 'Crab' Moguls is evident in this fine portrait of 42849 in the yard at Horwich Works after overhaul before return to its home shed (8D) at Speke Junction in Merseyside.
