It seems that relatively few photographs have surfaced of the former Midland Railway route that now forms part of the 'Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway' in the lovely Yorkshire Dales. Here is ex-LMS Hughes/Fowler 'Crab' 42774 with a very modest 2-coach 'local' heading away from Bolton Abbey towards Embsay in August 1955.
