LMS Crab 2-6-0 No 42788 with a down express passing Adswood Sidings about half a mile south of Stockport Edgeley. It appears to be carrying a 9A Longsight shed plate which dates it before January 1951 when it moved to Heaton Mersey. There is a Jinty on the road to the right.
