Work-stained 'Crab' No.42874 with a five-coach local. The Rowsley allocated 2-6-0 has a 1957 pattern BR emblem on the tender which suggests this picture was taken in either 1957 or 1958. It spent all of its career on the Midland Division until November 1959 when it was transferred to Gorton.
