NER 38 Class 4-4-0 No 281 at Leeds City in c1900.
The signals give the location away, they were worked from Leeds West box and were the starters to B Road from No. 2 platform (on the left) and No.3, where the loco is standing. The miniature arms took you into the carriage sidings. The photographer is standing on No.4 platform and as there was a loco release road between the two platforms he could get a good shot with everything on view.
