Leonard Rogers says" This is 4/8/68. 70013 is coupled to 44781 and 45305. The three locos have just arrived 'light engine', in all probability from Lostock Hall. All three locos are on railtour duty : 70013 and 44781 will take over 1Z74, the LCGB tour from St Pancras, to haul it as far as Blackburn, while 45305 took 1T85, the BR-organised trip to Southport and back. These were two of six steam tours around the North West on this the "last day of steam". The three locos are about to go and turn, probably on the triangle at Thorpes Bridge / Miles Platting".
