One of the two daily dolomite trains from Thrislington to the Steetley magnesite works at Hartlepool coming from Norton West Junction and just passing over Norton East Juction. These trains ran every day, seven days a week. The trains continued into diesel times but the works finally closed down in 2005. The specially built Covhop vehicles carried 23 tons of crushed dolomite and discharge was by forced air.
