The crew of No 63353 are heading back to West Aukland shed, light engine, and are wanting a turn on the triangle at Norton. When given the road the Q6 will continue past Norton East and then enter the branch, engine-first to head for home. At this time, 27th November 1959, Norton South’s down starter signal, an old NER double arm relic was about to be replaced by a modern upper quadrant.
