82004 1960s Bath Green Park
Peter Kerslake says "The splendid glazed overall roof of Bath Green Park's fine Somerset and Dorset terminus station is captured well in this view, the station with its two platforms and stonework reflecting a Georgian style in design although many of the glass panels in the roof which were destroyed by bombs during the last war were never replaced.
One platform could accommodate a maximum of eight coaches whilst the longer one could take nine but Summer special workings were often loaded to ten or more stretching out past the platforms.
Standard 82004 seen here in the "South" platorm is heading a passenger working probably onwards to Bristol Temple Meads although with not a single soul about it's all very quiet."
