The sun is shining on Barmouth station in the 1960's as Standard Class 3 2-6-2T 82034 awaits the "Right Away" from Platform 2 on a working towards Portmadoc and Pwllheli .
The station could be a wild and windy place to find oneself during the bleak Cambrian winters, and whilst the northbound Platform 3 had the main station buildings. Platform 2, nearest the water, had just the a short canopy shelter, whilst the Down bay platform had no protection for passengers at all!
