45510 1953 Colwyn Bay
Unnamed LMS Patriot 4-6-0 No.45510 from Crewe North leaves Colwyn Bay with an express for Holyhead in c1953. Whilst the Patriots were fairly common on the North Wales Coast main line in the 1950s and 1960s, they were never as numerous as the Royal Scots. The parallel boiler engines were mainly summer visitors, bringing in excursions to the coastal resorts.
