LMS Patriot 4-6-0 No 45502 Royal Naval Division approaches Tebay with a down express at 4.53pm on 10th September 1949.
In the mid 50's C392 is listed as the 2.15pm Liverpool summer service for Glasgow, combining with a similar departure from MAnchester at Preston, the combined train leaving Preston at 5.30pm. Presumably in 1949 the departure times were much earlier. Also 5502 is a Preston loco at this date so may be deputising for a failure.
